Ku, a local girl, was dumbstruck when her 27-year-old boyfriend Scanny See Keng Lon from Kuantan secretly arranged a ride up the 110m Menara Taming Sari to surprise her.
Ku, was on cloud nine and speechless when See escorted her to the decorated tower cabin and presented her a bouquet of red roses. This was followed with the presentation of a birthday cake and the singing of the birthday song by Menara Taming Sari staff.

See, who spent two weeks arranging the surprise, said he remembered that Ku had mentioned while on the tower with a group of friends that the view would be better during the night.
She was the first person to celebrate a birthday on the tower while enjoying the breathtaking 360-degree view of the city at night, he said, adding that the ride up was romantic for both of them.
The tower’s manager Mohd Husni Husin said the staff decorated the cabin with pink-coloured balloons and heart- shaped petals to add to the romantic atmosphere.
Mohd Husni noted that the 10-minute celebration was held after 10pm when the tower had ceased rides for the public.
