We were attracted by the hot repeated advertisements in TV3 and posters everywhere. It came to Bukit Jalil and we were eager to go for the 2nd visit. The 1st was last year and we were exhausted with the super extreme heat in the afternoon. There were lots of makan-makan ala kampung with white giant canopies all over the place with a lots of food stalls and people. We bought home some fresh JB otak- otak at a reasonable price. My son was happy as he managed to get good bargains and free otak-otak from the seller.
This time we have chosen to go in the evening with my family. The carnival mood was not good as expected based on our last visit. We promoted the carnival so well and hubby was willing to join us. We were dissapointed that what we assured hubby over the varieties of mouth-watering food and nasi kampung there could not be seen or found, eventhough we asked the policemen on duty for the location. He directed us to the permanent eateries at Stadium Bukit Jalil.
We heard loud warm up music for the soon-to-rock concert. The carnival participants were busy promoting their package goodies. Look at the bags of goodies that we have bought home. 1 pack for RM10.00. Just imagine how easy they sell their products.
TV3, you have to be consistent and professional. Do not turn your carnival into Jom Lelong.
